A 19th century copy of a 16th century Italian Casque, of classical form in patinated copper with high Roman comb with mask at the forward edge. The skull is entirely embossed with repousse decoration of various battle scenes. A socket for a plume, pointed peak and neck guard, various rivet holes for the missing liner, ear pieces also missing. Fair overall condition 14in. x 10in. £150-250
