A 19th century Majolica sardine dish, the lid handle formed by a looped sardine with two beneath sat on a bed of leaves upon a diamond moulded ground, the dish and stand similarly decorated with leaf palmettes coloured in browns, yellows and greens, with impressed mark to the yellow ground underside "20". Diameter 8.25ins.
