A 1950 Tickford Estate Car Bodied Land-Rover 80 inch Series 1, registration KTG 278, MOT, V5 document, See illustration £7000-9000 Note: This unusual seven seater was a factory listed model from the original 1948 launch of the Land-Rover, and is believed to be the second to last of several hundred to have been built. Most went for export as they attracted purchase tax in Britain (which made their price comparable with the Rover 75 Saloon). Nick Baldwin purchased this example (one of about twenty surviving examples) in Cornwall 1994. It has been used on a daily basis ever since and was the subject of a three page article in the Automobile January 1999, and has also appeared in Land-Rover World Magazine
