A 17th Century Carved Rhinoceros Horn Cup], carved in high relief with dignitaries by a temple set against cliffs, with a plunging waterfall, pine trees, deer, fungi and other auspicious motifs, the two handles formed from pine trunks with needled crowns continuing to the cup interior, {10.5cm high} **Often referred to as 'libation cups' these vessels are unlikely to have served a purpose in ritual but instead were probably secular vessels used to consume wine or a medicinal drink {See illustration} £2000-3000
