A 16TH CENTURY SWISS HALBERD WITH PROMINENT MAKER'S MARK
A Swiss halberd with a prominent maker's mark stamped on one side of the head. This mark and others like it have been found on many Swiss halberds of the era, but as of yet none have been attributed to a specific maker, and they may have referred to the region of production as opposed to an individual smith.
The head has some decoration, including shapes made of holes in the metal like the 5-hole cross or the 3-hole triangle, as well as some crescent-shaped stamps, all of which are characteristic of halberds from this era. The piece as a whole is in good condition, with a light patina across the piece. The shaft may be a later replacement.

Very good considering the age. The shaft has been cut and then put together.
