HONEY, I SHRUNK THE KIDS (1989) - Antie Reference Model - An Antie reference model from the production of Joe Johnston's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. After being shrunk to microscopic sizes by their dad Wayne (Rick Moranis), Amy (Amy O'Neill) and Nick Szalinski (Robert Oliveri) and their neighbors, Russ (Thomas Wilson Brown) and Ron Thompson (Jared Rushton), used their beloved pet ant Antie for transportation until its fatal fight with a dangerous scorpion.

This model was made for reference use during the creation of the puppets of various sizes that depicted the enlarged insect. It is constructed from foam rubber molded around a jointed internal armature and applied with rubber hairs along its thorax and abdomen. The puppet's body is painted in shades of orange and brown with green-tinted eyes and mottling along its exoskeleton. The foam exhibits some pitting, and the front left leg has broken off at the top joint since production. Dimensions: 15" x 14" x 3" (38.25 cm x 35.75 cm x 7.75 cm)

Estimate: $800 - 1,600
