This lot comprises nine bottles of 1981 vintage Château La Gaffelière from the Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux.

Pomerol is along with Saint-Émilion one of the best-known and most popular appellations on the right bank of the Gironde. In contrast to Médoc, the most widely used grape variety here is Merlot. The wines are more elegant and can be enjoyed sooner than the Cabernet Sauvignon blends but most do not have the same aging potential.

1981 was a very good vintage with warm and dry weather throughout, even during the harvest.

The fill levels are excellent (into neck). The labels and capsules are in perfect condition.
