9 AMERICAN DRUMS.
1) Drum measures 8" high x 12" in diameter. It is a later style drum w/ ropes that attach to metal clips on the rims. Rims are painted black w/ gold, red & green transfer decoration. Body of the drum is brass. Ropes appear to be original to the drum. Heads appear to be original. CONDITION: both heads are undamaged. Top rim needs to be adjusted over the head. The remainder of the drum is quite solid & well constructed. 2) Drum measures 7 1/2" high x 11 1/2" in diameter. It is a later style drum w/ metal supports on the sides rather than ropes. Rims are wood w/ metal bands. Body of drum appears to be maple. Heads appear to be original. There is an over the neck drum carrier attached. CONDITION: top head is split. The remainder of the drum shows light wear. 3) Drum measures 13" high x 28" in diameter. A later style drum that would have utilized ropes & metal clips on the rims. Rims are repainted red. Body of the drum is repainted blue w/ gold, red & white decoration that includes eagles & federal shields. There are no ropes or rim clips. The top head is present, the bottom is not. CONDITION: entire drum has been repainted. The top head has a sm. hole & has been repainted blue also. The parts of the drum that are present are in solid condition. 4) Drum measures 6" high x 16" in diameter. A later style drum that would have utilized ropes metal clips on the rims. Rim is undecorated. Body of drum is natural wood. Both heads are present. There is an interior label that reads, “HENRY EISELE BASS AND SNARE DRUMS 909 AND 911 Grand Street, New York.”. CONDITION: each head has a sm. split. There is only 1 rim present. There are no ropes or rim clips. 5) Drum measures 9 1/4" high x 14" in diameter. A later style drum that would have utilized ropes & metal clips on the rims. Rims are painted dark brown. Body of the drum is natural wood. Both heads are present but the top head is detached. CONDITION: top head is a bit misshaped. Bottom head is badly torn. Body of the drum is quite solid. There are no ropes or clips. 6) Drum measures 11 1/2" high x 17 1/4" in diameter. A later style drum that would have utilized ropes & metal clips on the rims. Rim is painted brown. Body of the drum is natural wood. Both heads are present. CONDITION: 1 rim is missing. Both heads have tears. Body of the drum remains sturdy. There are no ropes or clips. 7) Drum measures 9 3/4" high x 16 3/4" in diameter. An early style drum w/ ropes that pass through the rims. Rim is painted red, then brown. Body of the drum is painted black. Both heads are present. No interior label is visible. CONDITION: both heads are badly torn. The paint on both the rims & body is quite worn. Ropes appear to be early replacements. 8) Drum measures 10" high x 16" in diameter. A later style drum that would have utilized ropes & metal clips on the rims. Rim is painted yellow w/ a black flourished design. Body of the drum is natural wood. There is an inlaid 10 pointed star around the vent hole. No heads are present. No interior label. There are 2 extra rims w/ this drum. CONDITION: drum body is sturdy. There are no head, ropes or clips. 9) Drum measures 11" high x 17" in diameter. A later style drum that would have utilized ropes & metal clips on the rims. Rim is edged in metal. Body of the drum is natural wood. Both heads are present, 1 is detached. Interior label reads, “CARL FISHER Importer and Manufacturer of Musical Instruments 6 to 12 FOURTH AVENUE NEW YORK”. CONDITION: 1 head is intact but detached. The other head consists of the wooden frame only. Partial ropes & clips are present though detached. Body of the drum is solid.
