Each text comes complete with its original dust jacket and features several illustrations. The full title of volumes three through eight reads: "The Principal Navigations, Voyages, Traffiques, and Discoveries of the English Nation Made by Sea or Overland to the Remote and Farthest Distant Quarters of the Earth at Any Time Within the Compass of These 1600 Years." Volumes nine and ten are titled: "The Voyages, Traffiques, and Discoveries of Foreign Voyagers with Other Matters Relating Thereto Contained in the 'Navigations' by Richard Hakluyt." The front flap of the dust jacket for Volume Three offers more information on the content of these works: "For nearly four centuries the popularity of this monumental work has continued unabated among those who delight to read of England's voyages on many seas. Determined to collect every particle of available information regarding England's voyages for sixteen centuries, Hakluyt made many far journeys, searched in many libraries and talked with many seaman and geographers, and in 1589 completed and published the voluminous information which he had gathered with painful effort. Condition / Notes: The Dust Jackets To These Volumes Display Chipping High Points And Other Minor Signs Of Rubbing And Toning. The Jacket On Volume Six Has Lost A Part Of Its Front Cover. Otherwise The Dust Jackets Appear Whole And Intact. The Bindings And Hinges On Each Text Are Solid And Secure.
