<B>8th Corps Union Officer's Kepi.</B></I> This blue felt officer's kepi has a gold bullion wreath with the number "8" in the middle of the front of the cap. The leather chin strap is intact with a federal gold button on both sides. The leather visor has separated from the front of the cap but is intact and not noticeable when viewing the kepi from the front. <BR><BR>The kepi's sweatband inside shows much wear with a 5” piece missing from the back. The hard paper and silk disk at the top inside has a 2” piece missing and there are two small holes at the top right outside. Otherwise, the dark blue felt is in very good condition.
