8mm (1999) - Tom Welles (Nicolas Cage) SIG-Sauer P230.
Original prop stunt hard rubber SIG-Sauer P230 used by "Tom Welles", played by Nicolas Cage on the production of the Joel Schumacher directed crime thriller film '8mm' (1999), starring Nicolas Cage as a private investigator who delves into the world of snuff films. Joaquin Phoenix, James Gandolfini, Peter Stormare, and Anthony Heald appear in supporting roles.
Tom Welles (Nicolas Cage) can be seen using a SIG-Sauer P230 with threaded barrel as his weapon of choice, most notably when he confronts Eddie Poole (James Gandolfini), pistol-whipping him and threatening to shoot him, though is unable to bring himself to carry out the act. He uses it with an attached suppressor in one scene.
