Pleased to offer this Circa. 1887 set of Royal Worcester plates for Ovington Brothers of NYC. Ovington's was a very high end store specializing in fine imported European porcelain and goods. The Ovington Store closed in 1909 after the last of the Brothers passed away. The plates have very pretty variegated blue clovers on white. The markings include: the Royal Worcester Vitreous stamp in blue. Ovington Brothers stamp in red, as well as the painters mark in red. There is an incised mark of Y6 which indicates the year 1887, as well as the "Y" stamped under the Royal Worcester mark. The plates measure 8" and are in very good condition. There is some wear to the gold gild trim, and one plate has a very small 1/8" flat chip on the underside, That can't be seen from the top. I believe the condition is very good after 120 plus years. These would be a great addition to a blue and white collection.
