<B>7th Cavalry Partially Printed Document Signed,</B></I> "<I>E.G. Mathey</B></I>" and "<I>Elmer Otis>Q", one page with docketing, Fort Rice, Dakota Territory, January 1, 1878. The signatures on this REQUISITION FOR HORSE MEDICINES AND DRESSINGS are both significant to 7th Cavalry history. Mathey served under Major Reno at the Little Bighorn as 1st Lieutenant of "M" Company. Otis replaced Custer following the massacre. Light, even toning with small marginal split on one fold. Fine condition.
