<B>7th Cavalry Officer Roster,</B></I> Manuscript Document Signed, "<I>C.A. Varnum</B></I>", one page, 8" x 10", San Francisco, California, April 7, 1930. Charles Albert Varnum was a 2nd lieutenant of "A" Company under Major Reno at the Battle of Little Bighorn on June 25, 1876. Here, as an elderly veteran, he has written down a complete roster of the officers on the 7th Cavalry at the time of custer's demise. Moderate browning with a 1" ink pool on right margin. Very good condition.
