END OF DAYS (1999) - Oversized Light-Up Subway Car Crash-Sequence Model Miniature - An oversized light-up subway car model miniature from Peter Hyams' End of Days. In the climactic sequence, Detective Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger) fired a grenade into The Man's (Gabriel Byrne) subway car, exploding it and causing it to crash.

One of two train models used for the crash sequence by Stirber Visual Networks Inc., this large, detailed model miniature train car is made of wood, metal, and plastic with seats and poles on the interior, as well as decal posters and maps. It features the train car numbers "8571" and a "M Transit" decal on the exterior; doors that open and close; vents along the top, plastic windows, and greebles to resemble rivets in metal. The interior of the car lights up, as do the rear lights when powered with an AC adapter.

This miniature comes on a set of original production model tracks attached to a wood board painted black. Production intentionally distressed this miniature to give it the appearance of a well-used subway car, including graffiti on the walls. This lot exhibits chipped paint and a buildup of grime in the fine crevices. Dimensions: 95" x 22" x 22" (244 cm x 56 cm x 56 cm)
