PINOCCHIO (1940) - Framed Limited-Edition Peter and Harrison Ellenshaw "Blue Castle" Giclee - A framed limited-edition giclee print of a painting by Peter and Harrison Ellenshaw titled "Blue Castle." Inspired by Walt Disney's Pinocchio, the giclee depicts the Blue Fairy (Evelyn Venable) watching over Pinocchio (Dickie Jones), Jiminy Cricket (Cliff Edwards), and Figaro (Clarence Nash) while the killer whale Monstro lurks in the waters around the Blue Castle.

Both Peter Ellenshaw and his son Harrison contributed acclaimed artwork and effects to some of the most classic films in history, earning them a combined five Academy Award& reg; nominations. The elder Ellenshaw contributed effects, matte paintings, and art direction to such landmarks as Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Old Yeller, while the younger's visual effects were utilized in such films as Star Wars: A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, Tron, and Dick Tracy, among many others.

Numbered 56 of 195, this vibrant giclee is printed on canvas with the Ellenshaws' signatures in opposite bottom corners. It comes mounted inside a custom wooden frame painted gold-color and affixed on the reverse with a metal hanging wire. The frame's construction paper backing exhibits some crinkling from handling. Dimensions: 35" x 26.5" x 2" (89 cm x 67.5 cm x 5 cm)
