Rare small grouping from my collection and not seen before. Hard to find anything from the early years that says Fairhaven on it, as it became part of Bellingham in 1904. Located in N.W. Washington State in Whatcom County.

These all came in together so I know they all belonged to the fellow named on the medallion.

There are two nice early 1900s gold plated engraved lockets, one of which is a official Knights of Pythias locket, the other has floral designs hand engraved on it.
They both open and close as designed. Small paper inside of one charm reads, Roy Weavers Lodge Charm.

The nickel medallion shows on the obverse the official K of P logo design of Helmeted Knight with eagle on top, above a shield flanked by cross broadsword axes, and the letters within those areas on the shield divided by the handles, F / C / B
On banners to either side reads; KNIGHTS of PYTHIAS
Below branches joined by a large bow at center.

The reverse side has standard die struck words, that would be filled in later as membership increased and hand engraved, usually by local jewelers.

Fortunately this one was issued, and quite early in 1906.

All reads as follows;
KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS / MEMBER / OF / FAIRHAVEN LODGE NO. 56 / ROY WEAVER / INITIATED / (Blank) / PAGE JUNE 26 1906 / ESQUIRE JULY 3 / KNIGHT 10

The medallion measures 36mm in diameter and has pocket wear, but overall decent.
Super rare, likely unique among collectors currently nickel medallion.

Fairhaven was absorbed into Bellingham in 1904, still called Fairhaven a lively historic district in South Bellingham.

Out of a long time collection.
