THE BLUE MAX (1966) - Framed Blue Max Medal - A framed Blue Max medal from John Guillermin's The Blue Max. Arrogant German pilot Bruno Stachel (George Peppard) spent World War I seeking The Blue Max, the highest honor given for extraordinary valor.

This faux steel medal originated from the collection of executive producer Elmo Williams, who put it up for sale at Pacific Coast Antiques Mall in Harbor, Oregon. Modeled after a real-world Blue Max with ornate eagle-shaped detailing, it is hand-painted in blue enamel, engraved "Pour Le Merite," and mounted to a sheet describing the plot of the film inside a custom frame. It exhibits one of the eagles broken off since production, and the enamel exhibits flaking. Dimensions: (framed) 9.5" x 9.5" x 1.25" (24.25 cm x 24.25 cm x 3 cm)

Additional Provenance: Letter of Authenticity from Williams and a business card for Pacific Coast Antiques Mall.

Estimate: $1,000 - 2,000
