BENJI AT WORK (1980) - Benji Stand-in - A Benji stand-in from Fielder Baker's Benji at Work. Benji was a canine character created by Joe Camp that was the focus of several feature films and other media.

Created for planning shots that incorporated VFX elements, this lot consists of a stuffed dog covered in airbrushed synthetic fur with a black resin nose and eyes. Along with a brown faux leather collar with a metal tag that reads "Benji," this stand-in is dressed in a white polyester space suit stamped "BENJI" on both shoulders along with an embroidered American flag. This stand-in was previously authenticated by James Comisar of the Comisar Collection. It exhibits tangled and matted synthetic fur, discolouration on the space suit, and adhesive residue around the nose and eyes. Dimensions: 26.5" x 8" x 16" (67.5 cm x 20.5 cm x 40.75 cm)

Estimate: $1,000 - 2,000
