A MUST FOR SERIOUS 18th CENTURY FRENCH PORCELAIN COLLECTORS.

As of 1770 in France, a large number of porcelain factories were set up in the capital. In order to avoid the royal privileges that banned production outside the Royal Manufactories (Sèvres, Vincennes, etc) and to have the right to produce, factories placed themselves under the protection of leading personalities (Comte de Provence, Comte d?Artois, Duc d? Orléans, and others). As for Marie Antoinette, from 1776, she protected André Marie Leboeuf, established in Rue Thiroux, which later became what was known as the Manufacture de de la Reine.
