Up for sale are six highly decorative handpainted Jacob Petit Sevres style Old Paris porcelain dessert plates. They are beautifully enameled with gold gilt scroll reserves of French Troubadour maidens in gardens. The ground color is peach with gold gilt butterfly's, rococo revival scrolls and flowers in a abundant amount of gold leaf. The plates are not marked but a tea cup for the same 1830's dessert service is marked with the blue J.P. under the glaze. The handle on the cup is missing so it will just go with the plates to prove that they are by Jacob Petit. He did not mark every piece in a service. The plates are free of cracks and chips with some ware to the gold gilt and ground color. Thy are 6" 1/2 inches across.
