Sixth-plate tintype civil war photo of Cornelius M. Lambert, 5th Vermont Infantry, Company B. The 5th Vermont Infantry was engaged during the Peninsula Campaign, at Savage Station, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg and Petersburg. Cornelius Lambert was mustered into the 5th Vermont Infantry on 16 September. On 16 February 1862 Lambert was discharged for disability. Tintype in half-case measures 2.5” x 2.75”. Tin of image shows slight diagonal warping, though not affecting visibility of image. Overall good condition.
