"Very rare carte-de-visite of Lt. Frederick Rogers of the famed 54th Mass. Volunteers, posed full standing with sword. Rogers originally enlisted in the 13th Mass. Volunteers, but was discharged in March, 1864 to accept promotion in the famous 54th, serving in the regiment until June 1865. He was wounded at the battle of Eppes' Bridge, S. C. Apr. 7, 1865.
