APOLLO 13 (1995) - Command Module Pilot Thomas "Ken" Mattingly's (Gary Sinise) NASA Badge with Mission Control "Malfunction Procedures" Binder - Command Module Pilot Thomas "Ken" Mattingly's (Gary Sinise) NASA badge with a binder labeled "Malfunction Procedures" from Ron Howard's Apollo 13. Mattingly wore his badge while preparing to pilot the Apollo 13 mission, only to find himself grounded after being exposed to German measles. Houston's Mission Control Center kept black binders of procedures throughout the room for various teams to access, including procedures for malfunction.

This lot consists of a plastic-laminated, color-printed badge featuring a black-and-white photo of Mattingly labeled with his name, the NASA insignia, and "Manned Spacecraft Center" features a metal clip at top and adhesive residue on the reverse from production; and a a black vinyl-covered, three-ring binder with a production-made spine label printed with "Apollo Change A LM Malfunction Procedures Apollo 13" and the NASA logo. The binder contains six three-hole-punched printed pages of system numbers for "MCA Vendor Maintenance System Vendor Listing" dated "07/21/94" in plastic sleeves and one manila folder. This lot exhibits scratches and uneven corners on the badge, as well as adhesive residue on the binder's front cover, discoloration, and creased paper edges.
