Extremely Rare and Desirable Civil War Era Straight Border Box, containing 50 Cartridges for Henry's Repeating Rifle. Cartridges are the short case pointed bullets, non-headstamp variety, mfg'd 1860-1863. Black-on-green label marked ''50 Cartridges for Henry's Repeating Rifle, manufactured by the New Haven Arms Co., New Haven, Conn. No. 44-100''. Condition is fine to near excellent with light soiling to the exposed kraft portion of box. Label with light even fading and one small area of discoloration to lower center portion. All corners to this two-piece box are tight. Cartridges remain in excellent condition with just light toning to copper portions of case. The perfect accessory for that minty 1st Model Henry rifle.
