Collection of figural jade carvings, among others with a finely crafted representation of a finger citron, a so-called ‘Buddha's hand’

This set of five different carvings or pendants was made of white jade with partly brown veining. One carving renders a finger citron, also known as ‘Buddha's hand’, which is decorated on one side with bats. The four other carvings are made in the form of two gambling mythical creatures, as a qilin, in shape of a chilong dragon or show a presentation of a horse with a monkey. The animals and the fruit are carved with partly open work and enchant by their fine details.

The jade carvings are in good condition with only slight signs of wear and with a surface displaying the excellent polish of the stone. The length measures from 3 to 7 cm.
