A lot of 5 Coptic steatite amulets, c. 5th– 7th Century AD, including a late derivative of the double-plume type, a stylized animal, with intricately incised lines and drilled circles, a herm-type amulet with human head, (L: 2 ¼ in, 5.7 cm), a palette, divided into two with triangular top, (2 in x 1 3/8 in, 5 x 2.4 cm), and a pendant with incised lines, (L: 1 5/8 in, 4.1 cm). Each is intact and decorated with incised lines, four drilled for suspension. Ex Negus Collection, UK, acquired in the early 20th Century.
