4th model Burnside, .52 caliber breech loading Civil War era carbine in fine to near excellent original condition, serial #17238. The barrel shows 95-98% original blue that is toning and aging slightly, the action shows 90-95% case hardening just starting to tone and age but still very good rainbow colors. The block and tang show 95-98% bright original blue. The lever, bottom tang, and hinge show 85-95% brilliant original blue. The stocks are fine to near excellent with two sharp cartouches, some storage type dings, mars, dents, particularly at the rear of the action. The buttplate shows 90% plus original case hardening. The markings are sharp, the small parts and sights are all retained. The action is tight, the bore excellent. A strong 9.6 or 9.7 on 1-10 scale. Est: $3,500 - $4,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
