4th Year Type Grandpa Nambu Semi-Automatic Pistol, by Tokyo Arsenal, #262, 8mm, 4.7'' barrel, blue finish, straw small parts, checkered walnut grips, and correct non-matching wood based magazine. Slotted for shoulder stock. Produced by the Tokyo Arsenal from 1903 to 1908, with an estimated production of 2400. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 97% blue with most of the losses at muzzle and high edges of upper frame due to holster wear. Grips show minor flattening; right panel with horizontal groove to upper portion caused from insertion and extraction of combination holster/shoulder stock (not present). Action remains crisp, bore is excellent. A fine example of an early seldom-seen Japanese semi-automatic pistol. Est.: $8,000-$12,000. (C&R)
