This lot consists of four Indian brass pots, traditionally identified as miniature ritual vessels known as lota or chombu. The group includes three vessels made of yellow brass and one Ganga-Jumna style vessel, which utilizes alternating bands of brass and copper to symbolize the meeting of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers. These vessels are typically employed in pooja ceremonies or for domestic purposes. The construction shows evidence of traditional hand-tooling, including hammered bases and irregular joins. The forms feature rounded, globular bodies with flared rims and narrow necks. Some pieces display simple incised horizontal banding on the shoulders, while others remain undecorated.
