410ga side by side boxlock shotgun by Watson Brothers, 29 Old Bond St, London. 26” barrels, rounded pistol grip, English style checkered butt, double triggers, automatic ejectors, in its original luggage case with Watson Brothers label in lid, serial #8725. The gun shows nicely engraved action in floral designs and is marked “Patent Ejector” on bottom of frame. The gun shows 75-85% original blue on barrels, thinning at the edges with some just starting erosion, pinprick pitting, a few marks. The frame shows 60-80% case hardening that is dulling and drifting to silver with light colors mixed in. The triggerguard and bottom plate show 50-60% thinning blue. The select checkered walnut stocks are very good plus with just some minor mars, slight scratches, normal aging in good crisp checkering. The gun measures 14-1/2” from the front trigger to the end of the wood. The gun is nitro proofed for 2-1/2” shells and choked Improved Modified (left) and Cylinder (right). The gun weight 4.4lbs. The case is lined in blue velveteen in good condition with normal fraying and aging, full label in lid in good condition and shows information for gun #8725.
