410ga full detachable sidelock double-barrel sidelock by John Powell #45 Church St. Reigate, Surrey, England. The gun shows 27-1/8” barrels, double-triggers, auto ejectors, English style straight pistol gripstock, checkered butt, articulated or hinged front trigger, satin finish frame that is nicely engraved with scrolls and game birds. The gun is choked “Full” (right) and “Extra Full” (left). The condition is fine toexcellent with 98-99% original finish. The stock is satin finished and also is fine to excellent. The stock measures 15-1/4” from the front trigger to the end of the checkered wood butt. The barrels show a fullcomplement of British Nitro and European proofs for 3” loads. The gun is fitted with a splinter forend and is contained within its original Luggage type case with Powell label in lid. We are not familiar with this makerbut we would speculate that he imports some continental parts and finishes the arms in England from the appearance. The gun is contained within a Nirolli high-quality velvet-lined and leather-covered case. Serial
