STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) - ILM T-47 Snowspeeder Crew Gift Miniature - An ILM T-47 snowspeeder crew gift miniature from Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and his fellow rebels flew T-47 snowspeeders during the battle of Hoth, where they fought off the Imperial AT-AT walkers.

This model and others like it were specifically made by the Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) team to be gifted to crew members. ILM created miniatures of different sizes for filming particular shots. All models were assembled by Mike Fulmer, painted by Wesley Seeds III, approved by Lorne Petersen, and Ken Ralston shot those picked for filming on a motion control stage.

The T-47 snowspeeder is made of styrene plastic and embellished with the brilliant, weathered hand-paintwork that was a staple of ILM's models during the Star Wars trilogy. The piece is mounted in its original display case, made by ILM, with a clear Perspex cover and the film title printed on the black base.

This particular miniature is without any clear plexi windows possessed by some of the other models. Dimensions: 9.25" x 7.25" x 5" (23.75 cm x 18.5 cm x 13 cm)

Estimate: $20,000 - 40,000
