<B>Group Lot of Four Original Civil War Era Issues of </B></I><B><I>Harper's Weekly</B></I></B></I> (New York: Harper Brothers, 1865), about 16 pages each, elephant folio (11.5" x 16"), with the typical yellowing and very minor chipping to pages due to the high acid content of the paper. Of note is an October 14, 1865 issue with engravings of President Johnson pardoning rebels in the White House and fighting in Mexico; a September 2, 1865 issue with a full page engraving of Newly Arrived Emigrants at Castle Gardens New York City and a story and engraving of the Housatonic Railroad Disaster; a November 11, 1865 edition with a full page engraving of the Defenders of the Constitution; and a March 18, 1865 edition with a full-page engraving of President Abraham Lincoln’s Second Inauguration.
