Great hunts and firearms!
Donor: Dan & Linda McBride
Those with a passion for trophy pronghorn hunting have heard of Hudspeth County, Texas. Boone and Crockett records reveal that of all the states or provinces with entries for pronghorn, Texas ranks eighth in total entries – 70 percent of these entries have come from Hudspeth County. Of all counties in the U.S., Hudspeth ranks tenth, and for trophy production within the state, Hudspeth ranks number one. Further, the Texas state record pronghorn scoring 90-4/8, taken in 1994, came from this county and the largest on record from Texas taken in the past 10 years, also came from Hudspeth County. This buck, scoring 89-2/8, was taken by hunt donor, Linda McBride (pictured). What all this adds up to is truly one of the best locations in North American for a B&C pronghorn. Dan McBride has been hunting this region of private ranches for years and has access to the best of the best. There are no over-the-counter tags for Texas pronghorn. All hunts are conducted on highly-coveted landowner tags. Accommodations are at a ranch house with meals and field transportation also provided. This is a boots-on-the-ground hunt for a book pronghorn. Nothing fancy, just lots of big pronghorns on lightly pressured private land.
