SNIPER BOX.
1) NO. 4 MK I T SNIPER RIFLE. This appearing repro. chest measures approx. 46" x 10" x 5" green paints w/ carrying straps. Side is marked "CHEST S.A. NO. 15 MK I.".
2) NO. 7 RIFLE . This chest is to hold the British No. 7 rifle, a 22 cal. training rifling in the No. 4 style. 47" x 8" x 5" crate khaki straps for carrying, 2 swivel hasps w/ wooden surrounds, & 2 wooden rests for rifle inside crate. Crate marked on side "CGB 7148 / CHEST MK 1 22 IN C NO. 7 RIFLE" One wood latch protector is split.
3) VICKERS MG. This 46" x 10" x 8" wooden chest w/ metal reinforcements has interior compartments that appear to accommodate the Vickers MG. Hinges on lid appear to have a deteriorating leather cover.
4) LEWIS MG. This 46" x 10" x 8" wooden chest w/ metal reinforcements has interior compartments that appear to accommodate the Lewis MG. Hinges on lid appear to have a deteriorating leather cover. CONDITION: good to very good overall w/ handling wear, flaking finish, & sm. cracks. PROVENANCE: from the estate collections of Charles P. Obremski. (02-16630/MD). $200-400.
