Uncommon Worlds Columbian Exposition Medallion.

It is struck in copper and measures 2.25 in diameter and almost .25 in thickness. Some even wear.

The maker of these was the Gorham Manufacturing Co, the engravers name is at the very bottom obverse edge about five o clock, C.F. NAEGELE FEC

Obverse depicts Christopher Columbus looking to left, with name surrounding head.

As if the outside rim was the ocean, you can see the waves in between the wooden sailing vessels evenly. The name are on the waving pennants on the main masts of each ship:
THE SANTA MARIA
NINA
PINTA

Beautiful details overall

Reverse side has a beaded border and legend within reads;
OCTOBER XII (shield crest, crown above) MCCCCXCII /
TO COMMEMORATE THE FOVR / HVNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF / THE DISCOVER OF AMERICA BY / CHRISTOPHER COLVMBVS /
BY AVTHORITY OF THE / COMMITTEE OF ONE / HVNDRED CITIZENS / OF NEW YORK /
OCTOBER XII (shield crest of stars and stripes) MDCCCXCII

Very nice medallion and not commonly seen.
