Three American Innovation One Dollar coins, minted in 2019, 2020, and 2021, each encapsulated and graded by NGC. These coins are composed of manganese brass over a copper core and issued as part of the U.S. Mint's American Innovation Coin Program. The obverse side of each coin features a uniform image of the Statue of Liberty in profile, holding a torch aloft with the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "$1". The 2019 coin was minted at the San Francisco Mint and represents Delaware. This Gem Proof coin features a reverse design depicting the silhouette of American astronomer Annie Jump Cannon against a star-filled night sky, with the words "CLASSIFYING THE STARS" and "DELAWARE" inscribed. The 2020 coin, also from the San Francisco Mint, represents Maryland. This is a Gem Reverse Proof coin, and its reverse features a detailed rendering of the Hubble Space Telescope in orbit, surrounded by a field of stars. The inscription reads "THE HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE" along with "MARYLAND". The 2021 coin, minted in Denver, represents North Carolina. This Brilliant Uncirculated coin shows a stack of three textbooks on the reverse, with the middle book labeled "First Public University." A lit lamp of knowledge rests atop the books, with olive branches framing the sides. The inscriptions include "NORTH CAROLINA" and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". Each coin is sealed in a certified NGC holder with the corresponding label denoting its issue year, state, and mintmark.
