He attempted to re-establish Danish influence, fought the Swedes and lost. Yet soon after, the Swedish king died, and he avoided a humiliating peace. In fact, the Treaty of Copenhagen after the war gained him much. Later, a constitutional revolution forced the nobles to cede much of their power to the monarchy. Thus Frederick became more powerful both domestically and internationally without taking any positive steps.
Estimated Value $3,000-3,500.
The Dr. Jacob Terner Collection.

Our item number 109333
<IMAGES>

</IMAGES>
