1) An American Civil War era M1840 style cavalry saber of a type imported from Europe during the Civil War. The sword measures 43 1/4" overall with a plain 35 3/4" unmarked blade having a single large fuller and a secondary fuller near the spine. Brass hilt with a standard 2 branch guard and a wire wrapped leather grip. Black painted iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray mottled patina and the hilt has a mellow brass patina. Leather is about 40% and the wire is 100%. Scabbard has been painted black. 2) Imperial German officer's sword measuring 38" overall with a plain 31 3/4" blade marked "CARL EICKHORN (squirrel) SOLINGEN". Plain plated reverse P hilt with wire wrapped composite grip and iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows original factory polish. Hilt has some loss of plating and the grip shows light wear. Scabbard has about 50% finish remaining. 3) A reproduction Confederate saber measuring 42 1/4" overall with a plain 33 3/4" blade. Blade is marked " BOYLE & GAMBLE & CO" & " CS 1862" with individual stamps. Artificially aged brass hilt engraved on the backstrap "Cpt. N. F. TENN. 1862". Wire wrapped leather grip and iron scabbard. CONDITION: sword has been artificially aged throughout. (02-24443-2/BF). $400-600
