3 PRE 1973 BAUSCH & LOMB SCOPES.
1) BALVAR 6-24 POWER TARGET. S# YG3567. Considered by many to be the ultimate target / varmint scope during it's production period that ended 1973. Kuharsky rear mt. of Lyman/Unertl style rather than B&L dbl. ring. Quality optical design w/ inner portion of tube coated in flat black finish to enhance use. Includes recoil assembly, rear lens cap plus non factory plastic cup acting as front. Standard reticle consisting of thin tapered triangles mounted in first focal plane. When power is increased, reticle appears bigger but still subtends same amount of target. Still highly sought by Varmint shooters. CONDITION: very good to near excellent exterior w/ optics being crystal clear even at 24 power, yet 1 very sm. spot visible just above horizontal line & about 1/8 distance away from vertical line along w/ some peppery spots at outer edges of each quadrant. Specs do not appear at 12 power or less. Still very useable w/out noticeable distraction. 2) BALVAR 8A. Designed for use w/ B&L or Kuharsky adj. bases. Center pointed triangle reticle w/ appearance of not being perfectly centered at highest power due to first focal plane reticle. CONDITION: clear optics w/out specs. Very good to near excellent exterior finish w/ see through flip up lens caps. 3) BALFOUR A. Fixed 4 power w/ desirable post crosshair reticle. Butler Creek flip up lens caps. CONDITION: all aspects of scope near excellent w/ no sign of specs showing when viewing. (02-13920(3)/NW). $350-500.
