1) A Chinese double sword or shuang jian with an overall length of 37 1/2" and blade lengths of about 28". The blades are identical except one has and engraved dragon with Chinese writing and the other has a phoenix with Chinese writing. The hilts have a shaped brass guards, brass ferrules and a shaped brass pommels along with wooden grips. Brass mounted wooden scabbard fits both swords at once. CONDITION: light wear overall. 2) A German/Austrian blucher type saber measuring 37 1/4" overall with a 30" plain blade with a single wide fuller. The ricasso is stamped "GEBR. WEYERSBERB SOLINGEN.". Iron hilt with down turned quillon and regimentally stamped crossguard. Plain backstrap with ears and plain birds head pommel. Leather wrapped grip with iron scabbard. CONDITION. blade has a light gray patina. hilt has a dark patina with minor losses to the leather grip. Scabbard has a dark patina with a few shallow dents. 3) British P1845 infantry officer's sword measuring 39 3/4" overall with an etched 33" blade. Blade is etched with foliate motifs along with a crowned "VR" on both sides. Gilded brass hilt with a pierced guard highlighted by a crowned "VR" in an oval. Wire wrapped sharkskin grip and brass mounted iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has areas of original factory polish. Hilt shows light overall wear. Scabbard has an oxidized finish with patinated mounts. Sword does not fit scabbard well due to an obstruction near the tip. (02-24163/BF). NON-GUN. $500-800.
