Included for bidding in this lot is a late archaic period 3/4 groove Native American Indian axe head. The axe head shows a semi-polished, predominant black and speckled white hard stone construction. The axe head originates from the American Midwest, from what is believed to be the late Archaic Period, between 3000 BC to 1000 BC. Overall, the axe head shows good condition, with subtle wear from usage, and age. The axe head measures 6 7/8" long, and 3 5/8" wide.
