Pair of round Russian trinket boxes, crafted from metal with glossy black enamel exteriors and hand-painted lids. Each box features an interior fitted with a red enamel-coated metal bowl. One lid depicts a folkloric maiden in a red dress seated among blooming flowers and leafy branches, signed at lower right. The other features a figure resembling Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) in a richly patterned red coat, flanked by stylized evergreen trees and ornate decorative borders. Both boxes are accented with fine gold enamel detailing around the outer rim and showcase the precision of Russian miniature painting tradition.

Issued: c. 1982
Dimensions: Each box measures 1.25"H x 3.25" dia

Condition: Age related wear. The red enamel bowls may have originally been fixed in place but are now removable and no longer firmly attached.
