Detailed figure set crafted by Royal Worcester in fine bone china, hand painted and modelled by Doris Lindner. The composition features a mounted member of the British Household Cavalry Regiment, known as The Life Guards, in full ceremonial dress. The soldier is depicted wearing a red tunic with gold and silver embellishments, white breeches, and a white plumed helmet, reflecting the traditional uniform of the regiment. He is seated upright atop a darkly painted horse with lifelike musculature and bridle details, including a painted harness with gold buckles and rein attachments. The horse is adorned with a richly detailed saddlecloth bearing the royal insignia, complete with a crowned badge and ornamental scrollwork, reflecting historical regalia of The Life Guards. The rider holds reins in one hand and carries a ceremonial sword at his side. The figure is mounted on a cream rectangular base and is accompanied by a separate black display stand with a green felt interior. The underside is marked with the Royal Worcester stamp and inscribed THE LIFE GUARDS MODELLED BY DORIS LINDNER, MADE IN ENGLAND. This item has a base included: 7"L x 2.5"W x 1.75"H.
