This hand painted figurine set by Royal Worcester depicts a trooper of the Royal Horse Guards, known as The Blues, mounted on horseback in full ceremonial dress. Crafted from bone china and modeled by Doris Lindner, the piece exhibits exceptional detail in the uniform, tack, and musculature of the horse. The mounted figure is adorned in a gray and black uniform with prominent gold embellishments, red plume, and helmet marked with a cross insignia. The horse is painted in a deep brown tone with white socks and is outfitted with black reins and a red saddle blanket decorated with regimental insignia. The reins include fine metal detailing, and the sword is rendered in metal as well. The composition is secured to a cream-toned ceramic base, which is placed on a polished black plinth.
