A pair of Halcyon Days enamel treasures, each crafted in Bilston, England, and produced in limited editions of 500. The cylindrical box on the left commemorates Richard I, The Lionheart, and features ornate medieval scenes with a vividly detailed blue and red exterior and a gilt-metal mount. The interior lid bears a historical note on Richard I's crusade and his famed royal motto "Dieu et Mon Droit." The base is marked as No. 121 of 500. The taller cylindrical box on the right is adorned with artwork inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, including figures attributed to Dante Gabriel Rossetti and others. This piece features Gothic arches, soft pastels, and romantic pastoral imagery, numbered 72 of 500. Both boxes are finely detailed with figural and heraldic imagery and are part of the esteemed Collector's Archive series. Largest piece measures 2"H.
