PATTON (1970) - General George S. Patton, Jr.'s (George C. Scott) Swagger Stick - General George S. Patton, Jr.'s (George C. Scott) swagger stick from Franklin J. Schaffner's Patton. Patton carried his signature swagger stick throughout the film, including when he led successful incursions across France and Germany, as well as in promotional materials for the film.

For a role where he rarely appeared without his swagger stick, a symbol of Patton's commanding and powerful presence thought to contain a concealed blade, Scott won the Academy Award& reg; for Best Actor. The film won an additional six Academy Awards& reg;, including Best Picture, and in 2003 was selected both by the Library of Congress' National Film Registry and the Academy Film Archives for perpetual preservation.

This lightweight riding crop features a lacquered wood thong with a tan leather keeper and a matching leather popper at top. Also included are three black-and-white behind-the-scenes photographs of Patton wielding his whip. The thong exhibits some nicks, most noticeably at bottom, and the leather is lightly discolored from age. Dimensions: 29" x 8.5" x 2" (73.75 cm x 21.75 cm x 5 cm)
