Framed display with affidavit notarized by Alfred Frye Private WWII in 42 Intel and Recon Platoon of T-Patch (Texas) Division commanded by Lt. Jerome Shapiro states in summary that on April 29, 1945 shortly afterthe liberation of Dachau Prison Camp Lt. Shapiro decided to visit the prison. He states it was "Horrific" but not the first such camp he had seen. He and Lt. Shapiro "looked around" the administrative officesand Lt. Shapiro took a piece of stationary and a type of currency as a souvenir. On 8-28-08 Private Frye as an elderly man recognized the items in Ron Lane (Museum of World Wars) Collection as those taken byShapiro when he accompanied Shapiro to the camp.
