Deluxe Factory Engraved Savage Model 99K Takedown lever action rifle, .300 Savage caliber, Serial #326915. The rifle is in fine overall condition with a 24” barrel with a Lyman marked ramped blade front and folding rear sights. The rifle retains approximately 97-98% of the blue finish with some high point edge wear. The lever assembly shows vivid case color hardening and a brass cartridge counter on the receiver. The receiver is finely factory engraved as well as the barrel at the breech. A period Lyman tang sight has been added during the period of use. The deluxe checkered Select American Walnut stocks shows great fit and finish with attractive figure in the butt stock. The butt stock features a pistol grip and ends with a steel butt plate. The lot includes a Savage factory letter confirming the rifle’s features and the special order status. The letter indicates that the rifle was shipped from the Utica, New York factory on October 25, 1929 to Sportsmen’s Supply Co., with no address listed. The letter further refers to the rifle as, “deluxe engraved” and “hand finished”. The letter explains how the, “action is carefully fitted and stoned”. This is an exceptional Savage with nice engraving and an interesting letter. Est.: $4,000-$8,000. (C+R/PPT).

Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
